ASP joins 26 other organisations to urge the Secretary General of the UN to list Russian state actors in the annex of the forthcoming Annual Report on Conflict-Related Sexual Violence.
This includes the listing of Russian Armed Forces, the Russian National Guard, the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN), and the Federal Security Service (FSB).
Despite credible, extensively documented evidence indicating a pattern of sexual violence committed by these actors, these entities have not been explicitly listed to date.
In line with repeated calls from survivors and survivor-led organisations in Ukraine, we urge the Secretary-General to remedy this omission, act consistently with the UN survivor-centred approach, and list Russian state actors in the annex.
