Benyam Dawit Mezmur joined All Survivors Project Board of Trustees in December 2018. He was Chairperson of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (May-2015- May 2017) and has been re-elected as a member for a second term from 2017-2021. Benyam is also 2nd Vice-President of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child and an Associate Professor of Law and Deputy Dean of Research and Post-Graduate Studies at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
