Megan Hirst

Megan is a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers in London. She specialises in international criminal law, and particularly the representation of victims in international criminal cases. She has represented victims before the International Criminal Court and the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, and has worked on victims’ participation as a legal officer in the Registries of the International Criminal Court and the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. Megan has also worked extensively on human rights, transitional justice and rule of law development in Timor-Leste, including for the national truth commission, the International Centre for Transitional Justice, The Asia Foundation and various local NGOs.
