Iryna Levandovska is an experienced lawyer specialising in international public law, with a particular focus on international criminal law, humanitarian law, and constitutional law. She has extensive experience in addressing a wide range of legal challenges, with a particular emphasis on matters related to war crimes, justice for children, and providing support to victims of crimes, including those affected by sexual violence.
Iryna has worked with international organisations, including several UN agencies, where she engaged directly with survivors of sexual violence in conflict zones. She also has experience working with one of the partner organisations of the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group for Ukraine (ACA). In this role, she collaborated with law enforcement agencies on the investigation and prosecution of war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine. Her responsibilities included facilitating cooperation between stakeholders, assisting in evidence collection, and contributing to the preparation of legal strategies to ensure accountability.
Additionally, Iryna has conducted research on violations of international humanitarian law, developed methodologies for documenting crimes, and analysed evidence to prepare legal assessments aligned with national and international legal frameworks. This work has supported legal actions and informed policy initiatives addressing complex issues arising from armed conflicts.
