South Sudan

South Sudan’s civil war since 2013 has led to widespread insecurity and political instability in the country. Of UN documented cases of conflict-related sexual violence in 2015, 4% of the victims were men. In addition, following attacks by Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) and affiliates in 2015, boys were reportedly castrated and sexually mutilated.
